Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks an Emergency Department Technician (EDT) for its Lakes hospital in Wyoming, MN. The EDT assists nurses with patient care, transports patients and equipment, maintains rooms, and manages supplies. The role includes day/evening shifts and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS certification and ONE of the following as listed in the posting.
• Current EMT or ERT certification, CNA on MN Registry, or enrollment in an LPN/RN/NP program with clinicals.
• Six months of hands-on patient care experience or completion of Fairview OnTrack Nursing Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by wheelchair and cart.
• Assist patient ambulation and positioning.
• Inform RN of patient/family observations and concerns.
• Respond to patient call lights promptly.
• Document patient care activities clearly and timely.
• Perform quality control checks on equipment.
