Zusammenfassung

OSF HealthCare is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to function as a member of the ED patient care team under supervision of the registered nurse. The technician performs basic patient care tasks to support comfort, safety and observation, including vital signs, specimen collection, ECGs and wound care.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED; BLS, CNA and EMT-B licenses are required or current in the state.

Qualifikationen

• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School or GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider CPR; CNA license; EMT-B license (Illinois).

• Provide basic patient care to ensure comfort and safety.
• Take vital signs and assist with activities of daily living.
• Assist with specimen collection, ECGs, and wound care.
• Record observations and communicate with care team to ensure continuity of care.
