Dartmouth Health is hiring an Emergency Department Technician II in Keene, New Hampshire. This on-site role supports patient care in a fast-paced ED, functioning within a multidisciplinary team and under the Nurse Manager’s supervision.
Strong communication is essential to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
The Emergency Department (ED) Technician II provides patient care and operational support for patients in the ED during varying states of health and illness. The ED Technician functions as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team and must be able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities while demonstrating excellent communication skills. Duties are performed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures under the direction and supervision of the Nurse Manager.Promotes and maintains the philosophy, values, standards of performance and goals of the organization and the department.Communicates effectively with all members of the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and achieve desired outcomes.
Job Qualifications include:High school diploma or equivalent education.Two (2) years of experience in an acute hospital setting, ambulance services or ambulatory care preferred. Phlebotomy experience preferred. 12-lead EKG experience preferred.National Registered Emergency Medical Technician Advanced (NREMT-A) with a New Hampshire Providers License from the New Hampshire Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (NHBEMS). Basic Life Support (BLS). Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) required within six (6) months of hire
