Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for 16 hours per week in the Warren Campus, with coverage at Easton as needed.

The role involves direct patient care, transporting patients, operating equipment, and performing point-of-care testing under RN supervision. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and CPR certification; familiarity with emergency response and basic clinical procedures is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• CPR certification.
• First Receivers – Operations Level Hazardous Materials Emergency Response.

Responsibilities

• Responds to medical emergencies with an RN and transports patient to ED.
• Responds to critical patient situations and assists with care.
• Sets up and assists with operating specialty equipment.
• Performs EKGs, glucometry, phlebotomy, point of care testing, and collects/sends specimens.
• Performs quality control checks and supports patient observations under RN supervision.
• CPR and unit-specific maintenance duties; restocks supplies and communicates changes to the team.
