Saint Mary’s Health Network is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support patient care in a fast-paced ED. The role involves assisting with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and maintaining a safe environment under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge.

This per diem position offers a flexible shift pattern and opportunities to work with a dedicated team within an award-winning health system in Reno, NV.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) if required by the State.
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

The Technician in the Emergency Department is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), if required by the State
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
