Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health's Winchester Hospital is seeking an ED Tech to support emergency department operations under RN supervision. This role contributes to patient safety and comfort by assisting with procedures and delivering compassionate care during the trauma and triage process.

Ideal candidates are CNAs or nursing students with clinical rotation, EMTs or those with ER experience, and demonstrate basic computer skills. EKG and phlebotomy experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Required: Certified Nursing Assistant, nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation or one year clinical care experience or equivalent education, one year clinical care experience, EMT or ER clinical experience.
• Preferred: high school diploma/equivalent, emergency patient care experience, EKG experience, phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses in the ED to provide emergency patient care and comfort.
• Support patient safety and contribute to a collaborative team approach in the emergency department.

Working under the direction of a registered nurse, this ED Tech position contributes to the Hospital’s mission to care, heal and to excel in service to our community by performing procedures to provide emergency care, for the comfort and safety of patients. This clinical staff position will have an impact on the patient’s experience by facilitating optimal outcomes utilizing a collaborative team approach to patient care in the emergency care setting.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

Required: Certified Nursing Assistant, nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation or one year clinical care experience or equivalent education, one year clinical care experience, EMT or emergency room clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range

Pay Range: $19.50 - $26.24

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
