Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is recruiting for an ED Tech at Winchester Hospital, a 183-bed regional hospital recognized for Magnet designation and top care in the northwest Boston area. Under RN supervision, you will assist with emergency care, help stabilize patients and support a collaborative care team in the emergency department.

The ideal candidate is a Certified Nursing Assistant or nursing student with med-surg clinical rotation or EMT/ER experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant or nursing student with med-surg rotation or equivalent experience.
• One year clinical care experience or EMT/ER experience.
• High school diploma strongly preferred.
• Experience with ECG and phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with emergency care under RN supervision.
• Facilitate patient comfort and safety.
• Support team in emergency department operations.

Winchester Hospital is a 5x Magnet designated, Top Massachusetts recognized 183-bed regional hospital that is the leading provider of comprehensive health care services in the northwest suburban Boston area. Working under the direction of a registered nurse, this ED Tech position contributes to the Hospital’s mission to care, heal and to excel in service to our community by performing procedures to provide emergency care, for the comfort and safety of patients. This clinical staff position will have an impact on the patient’s experience by facilitating optimal outcomes utilizing a collaborative team approach to patient care in the emergency care setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience Required: Certified Nursing Assistant, nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation or one year clinical care experience or equivalent education, one year clinical care experience, EMT or emergency room clinical experience

Preferred:

• High school diploma/equivalent strongly preferred
• Emergency patient care experience
• EKG experience
• Phlebotomy experience

Other Skills/Knowledge

Preferred:

• Basic computer skills
• Crisis Prevention/Intervention

Pay Range

$19.50 - $26.24 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
