Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Emergency Department is hiring a Full-Time Emergency Department Technician to support the care team during the 3:00 pm–7:00 am shift. The role requires working closely with registered nurses, assisting with patient care tasks, documentation, and data collection.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and eligibility as a CAN or nursing student or EMT/EMPT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CAN or matriculating nursing student preferred.
• EMT or EMPT preferred.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in evaluating nursing care and patient status.
• Documents findings, interventions and outcomes in patient records.
• Transports patients to diagnostic testing and other care areas.
• Works with the nursing staff to support patient care and safety.
