Abrazo Arrowhead Campus in Glendale, AZ seeks a compassionate Nursing Assistant/Nurse Aide to support patient care in the Emergency Department under RN supervision. You will assist with monitoring, documentation and basic medical tasks while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Special Skills: Excellent customer service skill and basic computer skills, knowledge of basic medical terminology required.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Experience: One year of experience as a nursing assistant; or Current CNA certificate/LNA license; EMT-B; PCA/T/ED Tech program.

Responsibilities

• Observes, reports and responds to patient needs on admission and ongoing basis.
• Performs direct patient care activities under RN supervision: monitor placement, VS, I&O, Foley catheters, transport, phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care.
• Organizes supplies, stocks equipment, keeps department clean and organized; stocks at bedside; refill O2 tanks.
• Assists nursing team in admission, transfer and discharge.
• Cleans room after discharge and prepares for next patient.
