Job summary

Waypoint, in Sanford, Maine, seeks an Ed Tech III to deliver 1:1 instruction to children in Pre-K through 5th grade with autism and developmental disabilities within a clinically intensive school-based program, under supervision of Certified Special Education Teachers and BCBAs.

This role uses Applied Behavior Analysis, collaborates with OT/PT/Speech, and may involve driving with parental permission for goals or transitions to public schools.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 90 college credits required: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certification as a Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) preferred, training provided if needed
  • Certification as an Educational Technician III preferred, assistance provided as needed
  • Valid Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Provides 1:1 direct instruction in social, behavioral, emotional, functional, and academic skills within an Applied Behavior Analysis model; collaborates with OT, PT, and Speech.
  • Drives students on occasion with parent permission for goals and transitions to public schools.

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferred) or 90 college credits
Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) certification (preferred)
Educational Technician III certification (preferred)
