Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for a Full Time position in Friday Harbor, WA. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Responsibilities include direct patient care, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining patient care areas. Candidates must have an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program, plus at least one year of relevant experience. The salary for this position ranges from $23.54 to $35.32 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Certified or Registered Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or EMT.
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development.
• Successful completion of non-violent crisis intervention training.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Physician.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care and transport patients as necessary.
• Maintain unit supplies and ensure cleanliness of patient care areas.
