Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with personal care and procedures, and supporting department operations. The ideal candidate should have a High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in an emergency department. Qualificações

Job Summary

The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) assists nurses and physicians in delivering emergency care. Responsibilities include basic patient care, collecting vital signs, assisting with procedures, performing phlebotomy, transporting patients, and supporting department operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs, intake/output, and other clinical data
• Assist with personal care, mobility, and feeding
• Perform wound care, specimen collection, and phlebotomy
• Support patient education and comfort
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff
• Clean, stock, and prepare rooms and equipment
• Perform clerical tasks (order entry, phones, logs)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in the Emergency Department required
• BLS certification upon hire
