Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical in Macon, GA is seeking an Emergency Department Tech to assist the clinical team under RN/LPN supervision and support age-specific patient care.

The role requires EMT or NREMT-Intermediate certification, active nursing student rotations, or equivalent experience; BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or NREMT/Intermediate Level certification required.
• Nursing student must have completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital.
• In lieu of EMT license, 2 years of patient care tech or ER tech experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• ED Tech participates in clinical patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Provides care to the age-specific population assigned.
• Supports the health care team to deliver timely and safe patient care.

Responsibilities

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Possess the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age specific population to which assigned. Qualifications:

Education

• One of the following: Required
• Current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification or previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/ Intermediate Level certification Required or
• A student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least 1 semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital Required or
• In Lieu of 2 years of patient care tech and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of EMT license Required

Licenses and Certifications
