Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a School Aide in Bath, ME to support students needing instructional and behavioral assistance under the supervision of the special education team. This contract-full-time role offers a pay rate of $22 per hour and a 35-hour work week.

The role focuses on assisting with personal mobility and therapeutic care needs, while ensuring health and safety standards. A high school diploma and current CPR are among the minimum requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification current if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support students requiring instructional and behavioral assistance under supervision of the special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee.
• Assist with personal, physical mobility and therapeutic care needs as established by a health practitioner or related professional.
• Work with the school team to implement individualized education plans and behavior support strategies.

The School Aide is an individual who works with studentsrequiring instructional, and/or behavioral assistance under the supervision ofthe special education department, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may also provide supportservices to assist students with personal, physical mobility and therapeuticcare needs, as established by a rehabilitation health practitioner, socialworker or other health care professional.

Minimum Requirements:
