ED Scribe — Fast-Paced Medical Documentation in the ER

Job summary

Envision is seeking a part-time Scribe to work in an Emergency Department setting at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold, NJ. You will document patient notes in an Electronic Medical Record under clinicians' direction, building knowledge of medical terminology and ED operations.

This role requires strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment. A healthcare background and basic medical exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or in progress.
• Biology coursework at undergrad level or above preferred; Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology coursework preferred.
• At least 100 hours of work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in the healthcare field preferred.
• Experience in a direct patient care environment preferred i.e. EMT, scribe, clinical technician in hospital, medical assistant in a doctor’s office.

• Ability to type 50 words per minute or above, adjusted for errors.
