Job summary

Riverside Health in Smithfield, VA seeks an RN for its ED/Telemetry team. The role requires assessment, planning, and delivery of nursing care for assigned patients, with leadership over non-professional staff as needed. Expect to work within a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality care.

Candidates should have an RN license (VA or compact), current BLS/CPR, and ACLS; TNCC/ENPC are preferred. Weekend/ Irregular shifts may apply; sign-on bonuses may be available for eligible experience

Qualifications

• RN license in VA or compact state upon hire (required).
• CPR/BLS certification required upon hire (required).
• ACLS provider certification required; PALS preferred.
• TNCC and ENPC preferred within specified timeframes.
• Weekend and irregular shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop a care plan.
• Partner with patients and families to implement and evaluate care.
• Educate patient and family; discharge education included.
• Delegate and prioritize tasks; respond to emergencies as needed.
• Complete clinical and quality documentation per RHS standards.
• Support patient throughput and ensure ethical, quality care.
