Job summary

Grandview Medical Center's Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient-centered care during nights (7pm-7am) in a fast-paced ED setting. The role requires coordinating with physicians and the care team, administering medications, and supporting life-saving interventions while maintaining safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations, active RN licensure, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• Active RN licensure required.
• BCLS certification required.
• ACLS and/or PALS/NRP preferred per facility guidelines.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process per policies and protocols.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings; report changes to care team.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor effects, and document administration.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency; participate in life-saving interventions.
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Document thoroughly and participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
