Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients in Emergency Center.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and psychosocial evaluations upon arrival.
• Assign triage categories to ensure timely care based on urgency.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following protocols.
• Administer medications accurately according to the five rights.
• Supervise ER Technicians and other staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Communicate with patients and families to explain procedures and treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to develop care plans.
• Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment.
• Engage in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
