Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Highlands in Sparta, TN, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This Day | PRN role will coordinate patient care across disciplines, monitor patient status, and ensure comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Tennessee prior to hire date.
• Advanced Life Support, BLS, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications required within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
