Job summary

Summa Health System – Barberton Campus is seeking an RN Clinical Coordinator to support the Emergency Department during 7p–7:30a, part time (24 hours/week). The role emphasizes patient flow, bed assignments, and collaboration with physicians to resolve bottlenecks while delivering direct patient care.

The candidate should have ADN with CCNE/ACEN accreditation, Ohio RN license, and ER nursing experience. ACLS, TNCC, and NVCI certifications are required for relevant sites.

Qualifications

• ADN required, BSN preferred
• Current Ohio RN license
• ACLS, TNCC, and NVCI certifications required for respective locations

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite patients through the ED to balance workload and acuity
• Assign beds and communicate patient movement to registrars
• Collaborate with charge physician to resolve bottlenecks and ensure patient flow
• Provide direct patient care to maintain throughput
• Demonstrate high clinical competence and effective communication with staff, patients and families
