Job description

The Emergency Department Registration Representative is responsible for accurate registration and explanation of required consents, obtaining signatures for all consent forms for inpatient admissions and outpatients before/after normal business hours. This includes the responsibility for insurance verification, prior authorization from insurance companies, and the collection of co-payments from patients. Through collaboration with all members of the health-care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided at WMRMC.

Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Experience

1 year experience in healthcare environment

Preferred Education And Experience

• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/coverage
• EMR experience

Required Licensees & Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
