Job summary

West Little Rock Emergency Hospital seeks an ED Registered Nurse for the night shift to join our soon-to-open location. The role focuses on rapid patient assessment, triage, and delivering acute care to patients of all ages, including neonates and geriatrics.

You will oversee ERTs, ensure medication safety, and collaborate with physicians on care plans. Requirements include two years ER experience, RN licensure, and current CPR/ACLS/PALS or ENPC; TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking of English.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough head-to-toe assessments and psychosocial evaluations on arrival.
• Assign triage categories to ensure timely care based on condition severity.
• Provide emergency care to patients of all ages following protocols.
• Administer medications with the five rights and proper documentation.
• Supervise ERTs and other staff to maintain efficient workflow.
• Explain procedures and care plans to patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain infection control and participate in quality improvement.

We are in need of ED Registered Nurse (FT, Nights), crucial in providing immediate and comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute medical conditions or emergencies.
