Job summary

Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver urgent and emergent care in a high-volume ED. The role requires current RN licensure, English proficiency, and BLS/ALS certifications, with TNCC preferred for advanced practice.

The ED RN will assess patients, triage, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and efficient flow in a complex hospital setting.

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required.
• Graduate of a nursing program approved by a recognized accrediting agency.
• Current, full, active, unrestricted RN license in a U.S. state or territory.
• GNT option allows temporary entry while pursuing licensure.
• BLS and ALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, evidence-based care to emergency patients.
• Deliver urgent and emergent care for medical, surgical, and psychiatric conditions.
• Assess patients, triage, and coordinate care with the health team.
• Educate, supervise, and lead within the ED team.
