Job summary

Oklahoma ER and Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a full-time mid-shift (11:00 AM – 11:00 PM). The RN will perform comprehensive patient assessments, triage, and administer medications while collaborating with physicians and staff to develop care plans.

The role requires two years of ER experience, valid RN license, and current BCLS/CPR with ACLS/PALS or ENPC and TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of emergency room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners for their state.
• Current BCLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC preferred.
• Educational requirements appropriate for meeting the age-specific needs of patients presenting to the emergency center.
• Validate clinical skills outlined in the orientation checklist and maintain annual clinical competency.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct head-to-toe assessments and psychosocial evaluations to determine condition severity.
• Triage: Assign triage categories for timely care based on urgency.
• Emergency Care: Provide care to patients of all ages according to protocols.
• Medication Administration: Administer medications with the five rights.
• Supervision: Oversee the work of ERTs and other staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Patient Advocacy: Communicate with patients and families to explain procedures and education.
• Collaboration: Work with physicians and healthcare staff to develop care plans.
• Infection Control: Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment to prevent infection.
• Continuous Education: Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.
