Job summary

The Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center is seeking a Part Time Emergency Department Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Waianae, Hawaii. The role provides routine and emergency medical care under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited PA or NP training program, NCCPA or AANP certification, 2–3 years ED experience, PALS and ACLS, Hawaii licensure and prescriptive authority. This is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Emergency Department Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides routine and emergency medical care, under the supervision of a licensed physician.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner training program and NCPAA or AANP certification
• Two to three years of post-graduate work experience in an Emergency Department
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Hawaii State Board of Medical Examiners licensure
• Controlled substance prescriptive authority
