Job summary

Hawai‘i Pacific Health seeks a dedicated per diem Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team on Oahu. You will provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages and work in a high-acuity environment.

Responsibilities include rapid assessments, airway management, and collaboration with physicians and teams to coordinate transfers when needed. About 37,000 annual visits, Honolulu-based setting.

Qualifications

• Hawaii Physician Assistant License is required.
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of PA/NP experience in a specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages (infants to adults).
• Perform rapid clinical assessments and stabilize critically ill or injured patients.
• Manage airway and respiratory emergencies, including intubation and advanced resuscitation techniques.
• Diagnose and treat trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and other emergent conditions.
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, specialists and hospital teams to coordinate care and transfers as needed.
• Support a high-volume ED with approximately 37,000 annual patient visits.
