Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks an Emergency Department Concierge at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington, KY. The role covers meal service coordination, educating patients on the MyMeal app, and supporting nursing staff with non-clinical tasks.

Schedule is three 12-hour shifts plus one 6-hour shift per week with rotating weekends. Requires 1–2 years in food service and patient dining; ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle trays.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver/push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the timely delivery and collection of meal trays.
• Educate patients on dietary options and the MyMeal app; assist with placing orders.
• Round on patients to check comfort, meal satisfaction, and non-clinical needs; escalate concerns to nurse.
• Assist nursing staff with non-clinical tasks to support patient comfort and flow.
• Maintain inventory of meals and beverages; ensure readiness and proper stocking.
