Job summary
Emory Healthcare is seeking a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support evidence-based education and competency growth for nursing staff. This RN leverages the ANPD Practice Model and adult learning principles to enhance onboarding, role development, and quality improvement initiatives.
The role includes coordinating unit-specific onboarding, validating competencies, delivering continuing education, and partnering with preceptors and leadership to advance staff performance
Qualifications
- BSN degree required with active nursing license.
- Strong knowledge of ANPD Scope and Standards.
- Excellent communication, teaching, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
Responsibilities
- Support onboarding and orientation of nursing staff and new graduates.
- Contribute to competency validation and tracking for nursing staff.
- Deliver continuing education and just-in-time training using evidence-based methods.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate education programs across delivery platforms.
- Support career progression and role development through coaching.
- Collaborate with clinicians, leadership, and NPD Specialist for program success.
- Assist with data collection and reporting related to educational outcomes.
