Job summary

CareWell Health Medical Center in East Orange, NJ is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department to coordinate and oversee nursing operations, support the Nurse Manager, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

You will mentor staff, lead performance improvement initiatives, participate in staffing, scheduling, chart reviews, and regulatory readiness, while fostering a culture of safety and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• BSN preferred or higher degree.
• 2–3 years ED nursing experience.
• 1 year of charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate ED services during evening/night shifts.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor nursing staff and support clinically-based decision-making.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and acuity-based assignments.
• Participate in chart audits and documentation quality reviews.
