Job summary

CareWell Health Medical Center in East Orange, NJ seeks a Nursing Supervisor to provide 24/7 administrative and clinical leadership during assigned shift, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care through real-time staffing and flow coordination.

The role serves as on-site hospital leadership, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting clinical decision‑making, and responding to emergencies. This full‑time, on-site position requires NJ RN licensure and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license in the State of New Jersey.
• BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA).
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA).
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 administrative and clinical leadership during assigned shift.
• Coordinate staffing, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
• Promote compliance with NJDOH, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
• Oversee patient flow, bed management, and throughput; respond to emergencies.
• Monitor infection prevention practices (CLABSI, CAUTI, sepsis) and HIPAA confidentiality.
• Escalate incidents to Administrator-on-Call and participate in RCA.
• Support Just Culture and safe practice environment; manage conflicts between patients/families.
