Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking motivated ED scribes to support physicians by documenting patient encounters, shadowing clinicians, and handling real-time charting.

You’ll gain clinical terminology, diagnoses, and valuable exposure to a fast-paced medical environment as a dedicated member of the healthcare team. Full-time scribes work 16–20 shifts per month (roughly 4–5 per week), with shifts typically 8–10 hours long depending on location.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be highly motivated and experience-driven.
• Prefers pre-health track (pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing).
• Must be at least 18 years old with sophomore status or higher.
• GPA of 2.8+ preferred.
• No clinical experience required to apply.
• Proficient in English; second languages may be required at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Record patient history and chief complaints.
• Transcribe physical exams.
• Prepare follow-up care plans.
• Provide real-time charting with physicians during shifts.
