Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health, Inc. is seeking Float Registered Nurses to support Emergency Department care across Wisconsin facilities.

You will provide adaptable, high‑quality nursing across multiple units based on organizational needs, with flexible scheduling and no on‑call requirements. Expected to collaborate with diverse teams, participate in governance, and maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and certifications.

Qualifications

Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
Active RN license with multi-state or single-state privileges.
Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
BLS certification required; additional certs may be needed by specialty.
Nurses practicing via telehealth must be licensed in the client state.

Responsibilities

Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
Upholds a culture of safety and continuously evaluates outcomes.
May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation; may float to other units as needed.
