We are currently seeking an Emergency Department Technician on our South campus.This position demands an individual who is self-motivated, works efficiently as a team member, able to follow directions, can remain calm in stressful situations, and demonstrates professionalism. This person would be under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing staff.The duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Physician with physical examinations and procedures, assisting the Registered Nurse with treatments, assisting with the comfort needs of our patients and families in emergency situations, maintaining supplies in the department and treatment rooms, and transporting patients upstairs for admission. The minimum educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or equivalent. Completionofan EMT or Nurse AideCourse is preferred(nursingschool, medical school, previoushospital ormilitaryexperience may substitute forthis). The patient assignment is variable, and orientation will be based on experience and level of comfort.Customer service and communication are key requirements for this position.
