Job Summary
Reviews clinical documentation and diagnostic results as appropriate to abstract data and apply appropriate ICD-9-CM/ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT 4 codes for reimbursement, external reporting, research, regulatory compliance, medical necessity, CCI, NCCI and other regulatory edits. Code and abstract medical records of low to moderate complexity within the Primary Enterprise acute care facilities. Experience in coding emergency department encounters is preferred.Remote ED Medical Coder - $26 - $30 / hour

Are you an experienced ED Medical Coder looking for a change? We are currently looking for several Remote ED Medical Coder candidates proficient in advanced coding skills using ICD-10, HCPCS, and CPT.
It's expected that members of our team follow all departmental coding quality guidelines and meet productivity standards while maintaining a 95% or better overall accuracy rate.
This position is 100% remote and allows you to work from home. A secure home office set-up with high-speed internet is required. This position requires independent decision making and effective communication.
Minimum Requirements
Possess a valid CPC, CEDC, CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification required.
Must have 3+ years of Facility coding experience.
Must be able to read, interpret, and analyze medical record documentation for accurate coding.
Successfully identify conflicting, incomplete, or ambiguous documentation and be comfortable initiating physician queries.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
