Job summary

Johnson Regional Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (PRN) to assist with basic patient care under the supervision of the ED team. The role includes taking vital signs, documenting results, and supporting assessments and procedures as needed.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred one (1) year experience in acute hospital setting or in ambulance.
• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with basic patient care under direct supervision of the RN.
• Takes, documents and reports vital signs and reports abnormalities.
• Transports patients and assists with moving, ambulating and lifting.
• Records I&O and collects specimens according to unit protocols.
• Assists with setting up oxygen and prepares equipment for procedures.
