Job summary

Endeavor Health’s Emergency Department in Arlington Heights, IL seeks an Emergency Services Care Assistant/Unit Secretary. Per diem, 7pm–7am shifts and every other weekend, located in Arlington Heights, IL.

Position supports ED and Treatment Center teams, providing direct patient care under RN supervision and performing required clerical and support tasks. The role requires a high school diploma, relevant certifications (CNA, EMT, Paramedic, ED Tech), and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Education: high school-level knowledge as a base requirement.
• Certifications: CNA, Paramedic, EMT with field experience and ED Technician experience as applicable.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support ED and Treatment Center nursing and medical staff in patient care.
• Under RN supervision, provide direct patient care and perform non-licensed procedures.
• May assist in directing environmental aide, stocking, cleaning and clerical tasks as needed.

Education

High school diploma

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Paramedic

Nursing student with six months of clinical

Certified EMT with at least one year field experience

Emergency Department Technician with two years current experience
