Job summary

Metropolitan Behavioral Health, a UHS facility in Michigan, is seeking an ECT Program Manager (RN) to lead the ECT program and ensure coordinated delivery of patient care in line with standards, hospital policy, and performance goals.

You will supervise ECT staff, monitor staffing on assigned shifts, assist the CNO with training events, and coordinate scheduling for anesthesiology coverage, referrals, admissions and discharges to support inpatient services.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • ECT experience of 1–3 years required; 3–10 years preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ECT practices and clinical operations.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Ability to function as the ECT RN when not present.
  • Coordinates scheduling for anesthesiology coverage for all scheduled treatment days.
  • Triages and coordinates ECT referrals, admissions and discharges with inpatient units, providers and Intake.

A growing, 144-bed behavioral health facility – Metropolitan Behavioral Hospital provides a full continuum of inpatient services across the entire patient population, including specialty programs to serve adolescents, adults and older adults, and perform behavioral health assessments 24-hours a day. Additionally, programs for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues will be offered to meet the unique needs of this patient population. The facility provides a robust outpatient program utilizing a combination of group, family and individual therapy.

Position Summary

The ECT Program Manger is responsible for the overall management of the ECT Program to ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals, and objectives. This position assists in contributing to the hospital’s philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision ECT program staff. This position will monitor staffing needs on assigned shifts. This position is responsible for assisting the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing, and implementing hospital training events with respect to all ECT Program staff required training.

This full-time position is Monday - Friday with 8 hour shifts.
