Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a PRN ECT Registered Nurse in Jacksonville, FL. The role oversees the ECT room, assigns duties, and performs frequent patient assessments.

You will secure physician orders, document thoroughly, administer prescribed meds, and provide patient teaching while supporting other ECT areas as needed. Must be a graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold a Florida RN license; recovery room experience is preferred.

• Thorough nursing principles and patient care knowledge with strong interpersonal skills.
• Recovery room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise the ECT room and nursing staff.
• Assess patients frequently and report changes to team leader or physician.
• Secure physician orders, document in chart, and administer medications/treatments.
• Provide direct nursing care and patient teaching; prepare reports and requisitions.
• Assist in other ECT areas as needed.

We are pleased to announce the following available position: PRN ECT Registered Nurse

This position is in charge of and responsible for the operation of the ECT room. Assigns duties to and supervises the performance of other nursing staff. Makes frequent assessments of patients and reports any change in condition to the team leader and/or physician. Secures orders from physician, makes appropriate entries in chart, administers prescribed medications and treatments. Provides nursing care to patients, does patient teaching. Makes out reports and requisitions. Assists in other areas of ECT as needed.

Qualifications

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, whether it be a diploma, Associates Degree or a Baccalaureate program. Must hold and maintain a current Florida Nursing License. Should have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures with knowledge and skill techniques of good patient care and interpersonal relationships. Recovery room experience preferred.
