Job summary

Hutto ISD seeks an ECSE Support Staff/Aide to assist students with disabilities at Lee Martinez Elementary School. The role focuses on meeting physical and instructional needs inside and outside the classroom and supporting IEP implementation.

Under the supervision of the principal and a certified teacher, you will follow verbal and written instructions, communicate effectively, and pursue the Texas educational aide certificate if not already held.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED; Texas educational aide certificate or willingness to obtain.
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to work with children with disabilities; ability to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to communicate effectively; SAMA certification (or able to obtain after hire).
• Experience: Minimum one year experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Help meet physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside classroom.
• Assist with the implementation of IEPs, including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs.
• Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.
