Job summary

Georgia Transmission Corporation in Tucker, GA seeks an Electronic Maintenance (EM) ECS Technician to install, program, and commission substation equipment across SCADA, MPLS/Fiber, RCMS, and cyber security disciplines.

You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, support real-time operations for GSOC, GPC, and EMC members, and respond to DRP activations and power quality concerns. Experience with IEDs and telecom networks is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology.
• Zero to twelve years installing and/or maintaining poly-phase metering equipment, component-level troubleshooting and PCB repair; SCADA-related equipment.
• Equivalent Experience: Associate degree in Electronics/Telecommunications and 3–15 years installing and/or maintaining poly-phase metering equipment, component-level troubleshooting and PCB repair; SCADA operations.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission substation equipment within Revenue Metering, SCADA, MPLS/Fiber, RCMOS, and Cyber Security disciplines.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across substations statewide.
• Provide real-time operations and maintenance support for GSOC, GPC, and EMC members.
• Respond to Disaster Response Plan (DRP) activation events and Power Quality concerns.
• Troubleshoot and repair problems on IEDs (e.g., RTUs, revenue meters, data concentrators, DFRs) and telecom networks.
