Job summary

Bradford Health Services is hiring an ECS Representative for our Texas facilities. This full-time role handles inbound inquiries from hospitals, detox centers, and physicians’ offices, guiding admissions and coordinating with facilities.

Strong communication and prior admissions or customer service experience are valued, along with knowledge of behavioral health and HIPAA compliance. The position requires a high school diploma (college helpful), valid driver's license, reliable transportation,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; college helpful.
• Knowledge of chemical dependency desired.
• Two years' experience in admissions or customer service desired.
• Must be able to interact with the professional community.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, faxes, and emails from referring hospitals and offices.
• Conduct initial telephone screening to assess behavioral health needs.
• Gather demographic, insurance, medical, psychiatric, and substance use information.
• Explain available behavioral health programs, services, and the admission process.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain financial arrangements.
• Coordinate admission with Bradford Health Services facilities.
• Schedule assessments, intake appointments, and admissions.
• Collaborate with case managers, social workers, and community referral sources to facilitate continuity of care.
• Track referrals, admissions, and follow up activities to ensure timely placement and communication.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in electronic health record system.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 To $60,000.00 Annually

We are seeking an ECS Representative to add to our dynamic team. ECS Representatives are responsible for answering calls and inquiries from referring hospitals, standalone detox centers, acute psychiatric hospitals, and physicians' offices while appropriately documenting inquiries and facilitating admissions to Bradford Health Services facilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial telephone screening to determine individual’s behavioral health needs and level of care
• Gather demographic, insurance, medical, psychiatric, and substance use information
• Explain available behavioral health programs, services, and the admission process
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain financial arrangements
• Coordinate admission with Bradford Health Services facilities
• Schedule assessments, intake appointments, and admissions
• Collaborate with case managers, social workers, and community referral sources to facilitate continuity of care
• Track referrals, admissions, and follow up activities to ensure timely placement and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, college helpful

• Knowledge of and two years' experience in admissions/customer service desired
• Must be able to interact with the professional community
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be self-motivated
• Must be able to see at 20/40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid accepted)
• Must have a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record
• Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations
• Must be able to work in a cooperative manner with co‑workers, managers, clients, and prospective clients
• Other duties as assigned
• If recovering, two (2) years of continuous verifiable sobriety
