Job description

Ecowaste Solutions is a fast-growing company in a stable, essential industry, and our Site Managers are the people who make it all happen at the ground level. This isn't a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a desk. You'll run your site like it's your own business, owning the P&L, building and leading your team, driving local sales, and keeping a fleet of CDL drivers and maintenance staff operating safely and efficiently. We're looking for someone who has been in the trenches, knows what it takes to turn a struggling operation around, and can build the kind of team culture and community relationships that make a site thrive long term. If you have experience running a full operation in a DOT-regulated environment and are ready to take full ownership of your market, we want to hear from you.

  • Manage a fleet of CDL drivers and equipment in full compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, inspected, and DOT compliant.
  • Monitor driver performance/KPIs, Hours of Service compliance, and safety standards.
  • Partner with maintenance staff to minimize downtime and control repair costs.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations including DOT, OSHA, and environmental requirements.
  • Own the site P&L including revenue, expenses, and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising safety or service quality.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive retention and account growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the market.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and serve as the face of Ecowaste in the local community.
  • Develop a reputation for reliability and service excellence in the market.
People & Culture
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop site staff including drivers, mechanics, and support personnel.
  • Coach, mentor, and hold team members accountable to performance and safety standards.

  • Address employee relations issues promptly and in partnership with HR.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all training requirements are met.
