Job summary

SEEDS Ecology & Education Centers in Kalkaska, MI seeks a Teaching Assistant at Birch Street Elementary to support nutrition, enrichment, and academic and emotional growth for youth. The role collaborates with the Site Coordinator and team to deliver engaging activities.

School year hours are four days per week, 3–4 hours daily; summer program runs four days per week, 6–7 hours. Pay is $15.72 per hour with a flexible, hybrid work environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Background checks required for employment.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• TB test required for staff working 4+ hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with grant objectives.
• Maintain a clean, safe learning environment daily.
• Comply with DHS/MiLEAP and MDE program standards.
• Build strong relationships with Site Coordinator, staff, students and families.
• Complete required professional development on time.
• Provide student information to Site Coordinator and team.
