FINRA seeks an economist to analyze market structure developments, tokenized securities, AI trading, and cross-market interactions. The role uses large datasets to assess price discovery, liquidity, and market integrity, supporting rulemaking and surveillance efforts.

The candidate will develop econometric and ML methods, prepare leadership briefings, and collaborate with regulatory staff across the organization in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field; PhD preferred.
• Demonstrated experience producing economic analyses, including project design, econometric modeling, and written reports.
• Proficiency with statistical tools such as R, Python, and/or Stata.
