Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange’s NYSE Regulation unit seeks a data scientist to serve as a leading expert on data, AI/ML, and regulatory technology initiatives. You will design models, analyze vast trading data, and support enforcement and issuer regulation with advanced analytics.

You will collaborate across teams to implement predictive analytics, develop scalable data pipelines, and advance NYSER’s use of AI to monitor markets and detect issues in equities and options trading.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with eight or more years of experience in data analytics/science, financial engineering, statistics, or a similar field.
• Experience applying AI/ML to practical business challenges in capital markets.
• Strong architecture and design skills for data programs and regulatory tech.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the data and AI/ML expert for NYSER.
• Explore predictive modeling, ML, LLMs for surveillance and enforcement.
• Analyze trading data to identify patterns and inform investigations.
• Collaborate to define requirements for new surveillance patterns.
• Establish data workflows and documentation for project communication.
• Lead ad hoc and special projects on data and AI initiatives.
