Job summary

Amazon Science is seeking an Economist to join a high-visibility team shaping customer experiences across Amazon surfaces. You will partner with business stakeholders to strategize and launch new features, using data to justify decisions and quantify customer and financial impact.

You will collaborate with economists, engineers, product managers, applied scientists, TPMs and senior leadership to drive measurable business outcomes for the Buy Box and related buying experiences at global scale.

Qualifications

• PhD in economics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industry, consulting, government, or academic research experience.
• Knowledge of at least one statistical software package (R, Stata, Matlab, SAS).
• Experience in prediction and forecasting in a research or industrial environment.
• Experience with handling of large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and business expertise to strategize and launch new businesses and features.
