Economic Service Supervisor-Human Services-BFA-Central-Field Operations-Statewide

Join our team in the Long Term Care unit as an Economic Service Supervisor at the Bureau for Family Assistance! We are seeking an experienced leader to supervise our unit in delivering economic assistance services to West Virginians. This role involves overseeing the delivery of programs such as SNAP, Medicaid, and Emergency Assistance/LIEAP, and providing expert guidance on economic services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff, including performance, discipline, and training.
  • Monitor staffing needs, system alerts, quality control, and equipment issues.
  • Plan staff assignments and unit meetings.
  • Represent the Economic services division to management, stakeholders, and the community.
  • Implement policies and program improvement plans.
  • Provide training, guidance, and conflict resolution support to employees.
  • Manage a caseload for agency programs as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Two years of full-time paid experience in a social welfare agency or related field, involving interviewing or evaluating claimants for benefits.
