Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Research Analyst to support economic research and policy projects. You will work with staff economists on macroeconomics, finance, and policy issues, applying statistical and computational methods to data and models.

The role requires a solid economics and mathematics background, strong programming skills in at least one language, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record in economics, mathematics, finance, statistics, computer science, or related fields.
• Proficiency with at least one statistical software or programming language (Stata, R, Python, SQL, Julia or Matlab).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with microdata is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff economists in analyzing current public policy issues and events including monetary policy and macroeconomic topics.
• Provide statistical/computational analysis to support research and forecasting efforts.
