A New York City-based nonprofit services organization is seeking an Economic Empowerment Specialist to join its Bronx team. The role focuses on coaching residents with job readiness, financial stability, and access to workforce programs.

This hybrid position operates 9am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with 4 days on site and 1 day remote. An Associate’s degree and 4–5 years of relevant experience are required, preferably with survivors of Domestic Violence or Gender-based Violence.

  • Knowledge of Workforce Development systems, Financial Literacy principles, and Public Benefits.
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs in a trauma-informed manner.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
  • Strong facilitation, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.

Salary: USD25 - USD30 per hour

About the Opportunity:

  • Shift: Day
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm
  • Setting: Hybrid (4 days on site, 1 day remote)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized coaching to support residents with job readiness, career goals, and financial stability
  • Conduct assessments related to employment, financial needs, and barriers to self-sufficiency

  • Background in Economic Empowerment, Shelter Services, or Domestic Violence programs
  • Experience building partnerships with employers, Training Programs, and Community Providers
