Job summary

The City of Holland seeks an Economic Development Manager to lead efforts promoting growth and vitality in Holland, Michigan. You will attract and retain businesses, coordinate housing strategies and Brownfield/TIF tools, and work with city officials and regional partners to align initiatives with city goals.

You will analyze market trends, prepare reports, and foster public-private partnerships to leverage resources and drive sustainable development in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience working for a municipality, 501c3, or private entity in economic development or urban planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to promote economic growth and vitality within City of Holland.
• Attract and retain businesses, industries, and investment opportunities in collaboration with local and state agencies.
• Coordinate housing and TIF-related programs, including Brownfield incentives and housing gap subsidies.
• Monitor economic development programs and adjust initiatives to achieve outcomes.
• Prepare reports, notices, and recommendations for the City Commission and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority.
